Spotlight Seekers is a high-energy, performance-focused class series designed to turn young students into confident stage performers. This class provides a foundational theatre experience where students learn exactly what it takes to bring a story to life under the stage lights. From the very first class, our Seekers dive into the core disciplines of musical theatre: acting, singing, and movement.

Class 1: Welcome & Introduction

Getting to know each other and learning the different pieces of theatre performance.

Class 2: Voice & Expression

Learning how to use your voice to tell a story.

​

Class 3: Movement & Character

Transforming into a character through walk, gesture, and stage movement.

Class 4: Putting It All Together

Polishing our routine and performing a mini-musical showcase for a live audience!

About the Instructor

Anna Abele is an elementary general music teacher at Sidney City Schools with several years of experience working with students from Pre-K through 12th Grade. She has previously worked with CPAM preparing our elementary students for performance in The SpongeBob Musical: Youth Edition.

Session Information

This interactive workshop is open to students in grades K-2.​

What to Bring

There will be movement required for this workshop, so please wear comfortable clothing and closed-toed shoes. There is a drinking fountain at this location, but we recommend bringing a water bottle with you.
