The Story

The classic story of Mowgli the Man-Cub springs to life in this lively and spirited adaptation of “The Jungle Book.” Raised by wolves and protected by a wise panther and semi-narcoleptic bear, Mowgli’s adventures take him from a crumbling ancient city to a run in with a massive python, to a climactic showdown with the ferocious tiger, Shere Khan. Filled with action, heart, and all your favorite characters from the Rudyard Kipling classic, this retelling puts a fresh spin on the story we all know and love, while weaving a lesson about finding one’s place in this vast and wild world.​​

About the Audition

Jr. Cast Auditions (5-7 years old): there are two 30-minute small group audition opportunities available for young children who have little to no experience performing on stage, from 6:00 - 6:30 both evenings of auditions. These small group auditions will take children through a few vocal and physical movement exercises to showcase their talents for the director and artistic staff.

Sr. Cast Auditions (8-14 years old): students must prepare a one minute memorized monologue of their choosing that they feel helps them portray the character/role they are auditioning for. Each student must sign up for a three minute individual audition appointment during one of the audition dates. Some students may be asked to stay after individual auditions for cold reads/scene work with the director and artistic staff based on the outcome of their individual audition.

Show Information

Rehearsal Days: Mondays, Wednesday, Thursdays, Saturdays

​**Not every cast member will need to be at every rehearsal. Attendance is based on scenes are being rehearsed at each rehearsal and which characters appear in those scenes. Please bring a complete list of all conflicts to your audition! Each student auditioning will be required to fill out a conflict calendar at the audition.

 

Show Dates: April 16 - 18, 2026

Tech Week: April 12 - 15, 2026 (no absences permitted)

Participation Fee: $130 per senior cast member/$80 per junior cast member (discounts available for families with multiple students)
